job purpose:   The Sr. Finance Director – Supply Chain is a member of the Financial Planning & Analysis Team and reports to the Vice President of FP&A.   This role will partner with the Chief Supply Chain Officer, Chief Technology Officer, and the broader fairlife operations teams to provide analytics, modeling, insights and decision support to drive world class performance across planning, procurement, manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and R&D.  Additionally, this role will lead analysis to maximize the financial returns of capacity expansion and asset allocation strategies across our manufacturing sites, operational functions, and initiatives in a high-growth consumer products environment.

 

responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic planning for Supply Chain to ensure best in class financial performance that delivers competitive advantages in the marketplace.
  • Drive fact-based decision making across Supply Chain functions and challenge business assumptions to attain better decisions.
  • Participate in board of director meetings, presentations, and analysis to drive key board decisions.
  • Analyze options for the allocation of scare resources to secure the greatest short term and long term returns for the business through scenario planning, financial modeling and the hands on understanding of fairlife’s supply chain model and operations.
  • Drive margin improvement by working with the operations teams to optimize resource use, improve productivity, lower costs relative to revenue drivers and focus the company on maximizing efficiency across our multi-site manufacturing and logistics network
  • Provide business intelligence for all the financial results and key performance indicators for the manufacturing facilities, costs of goods sold, and key working capital drivers through trend, variance and ratio analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement in a high growth and fast paced environment of modeling, analytics, information organization, cross functional alignment of the key storylines, trends and identification of business needs.
  • Lead the capital allocation process and maximization of ROI on our capital spend across existing and future assets, including setting a path for long term capacity expansion strategies.

 

skills/qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 8 -10 years of progressive finance experience with emphasis on quantitative reasoning, statistical, strategic analysis and analytical modeling, and operational reporting
  • Demonstrated success in partnering with and influencing functional leaders to drive action toward and deliver against targeted operational strategies
  • Excellence in written and oral communication, including strong presentation and “storytelling” skills
  • Strong financial modeling skills and use of key software programs to provide highest level of analytics in an efficient manner
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a team-oriented environment while also being able to work and think independently
  • Self-directed and motivated to work with minimum supervision, conferring with manager or others on more complex matters
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Highly organized
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and modeling skills is required
  • R Demonstrated competency with ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or dairy is a plus
