job purpose:

The Manufacturing Data Analyst will support fairlife's ambition of building a best-in-class Data and Decision Intelligence (DDI) ecosystem. This role will support the development and delivery of a data driven culture and ecosystem at our manufacturing facilities in Arizona and Michigan. Specifically, this role will be involved in the planning, acquisition, maintenance, and reporting of the data generated by fairlife’s manufacturing systems. This role will work closely with plant floor technicians, IT, engineers and the data team to establish consistent and reliable practices for factory data collection.

responsibilities:

  • Work cross-functionally across the factory to help drive engagement and adoption of data-driven tools at our Coopersville, MI and Goodyear, AZ factories
  • Work closely with manufacturing, line integrators, and vendors during installation/validation/operation of equipment and MES systems
  • Troubleshoot Hardware, Operating System and software issues on manufacturing equipment and computer systems
  • Work closely with broader factory intelligence team to integrate and scale our data tools across our entire manufacturing footprint
  • Ensure system uptime for all manufacturing data systems in the plant.
  • Assist in the design, development and deliver key reports for all levels of the factory
  • Assist in installation, support, upgrade of Industrial IT equipment on the plant floor

skills/qualifications required:

  • Associate’s degree in information systems, electrical controls, mechatronics, computer programming or related
  • OR 2-4+ years relevant work experience
  • Proven experience of SCADA and MES systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of PLC Programming and HMI Programming: Ex. Rockwell, Siemens
  • Understanding of Microsoft IoT and database systems: MSSQL, Azure, Azure DevOps, Power BI, etc
  • Understanding of industrial data exchange protocols and software: OPC, Kepware, MQTT
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Detail oriented to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Self-starter with a growth mindset and a passion for data
  • Flexible to work in a 24/7 manufacturing facility
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • High volume manufacturing experience a plus
  • Experience in industrial vision systems a plus
