Slide Into Fitness

When it comes to working out, one of the best things to do is to keep your body guessing. Many people fall into the same workout routine and their body eventually adapts, making their workouts less effective. One way we can change up a basic exercise, like the mountain climber, is to use paper plates or towels to create a slider effect. Using a slider will tear different muscle fibers and in return shock the body into better results.


Mountain Climber Sliders

1. Get into a push up position with your shoulders stacked over your hands.

2. With each foot on top of a slider, slide one knee to your chest, bring it back to the start and repeat with the other leg.

Trainers note: Do not bring your butt in the air. Try to keep your entire back as flat as possible as you pull your knees in.

Do as many as you can within a 10 second frame and then rest for 10 seconds. Do 10 sets of these and I promise you will definitely feel the heart pumping.

Keep in mind a healthy diet is such a crucial part to transforming your body and getting into top shape. Cut out junk food, include plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, and always refuel with a Core Power high protein shake within 20 minutes of finishing your workout.
