about our internship program:

The fairlife Summer Internship Program is designed to welcome interns across our locations to gain meaningful experience and social and professional development opportunities. For 11 weeks, interns will work full-time in one of our three locations: Chicago, IL, Coopersville, MI, or Goodyear, AZ. fairlife’s paid internship program also offers a summer full of social, professional, and community engagement events including exposure to our senior leadership and executives across the business in small group settings, insight into company initiatives, off-site field trips, and for those qualified and selected, an opportunity to pursue a full-time job opportunity.

The fairlife 2024 Summer Internship Program will take place from 6/3 through 8/16 at the fairlife location specified in this job description.

job purpose: The Shopper Marketing Intern will support the Shopper Team in customizing marketing efforts and consumer insights down to the retail and channel level to deliver back profitable growth for fairlife. The Shopper Intern will gain an understanding of the shopper landscape, retailer priorities and nuances, shopper marketing creative and strategic best practices, and the retail competitive environment. The Shopper Marketing team works cross-functionally across Marketing, Commercial, Sales, eCommerce, and Finance, so the Shopper Intern will gain exposure to multiple different disciplines across both the fairlife and Coca-Cola companies.

skills/qualifications required:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate degree program, entering the fall semester as a sophomore, junior, or senior
  • Preferred focus on Marketing, Business, Communication, Journalism, Advertising
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0, or higher
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple groups
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities

learning objectives:

  • Develop an understanding of each of the fairlife brands and collaborate with the Marketing team on a variety of projects.  
  • Develop an understanding of fairlife Commercial priorities by collaborating with the Channel and Category Commercial teams as support on projects.
  • Gain an understanding of the Shopper & Commerce landscape and apply that understanding to planning and executional priorities for the Shopper team.
  • Attend regular Shopper & eCommerce team connects, and support Shopper Marketing manager on Retail Media Network projects.
  • Work across the fairlife and Coca-Cola organizations to understand nuances between teams and develop programming together.
  • Identify 1-2 specific areas of interest within fairlife and establish development plan to get more exposure within that discipline.
  • Work collaboratively on multiple projects with Marketing, Commercial, Sales, eCommerce, and Finance to gain cross-functional exposure and alignment.
