job purpose: In this newly created role, the VP of Information Technology (IT) will be responsible for developing and implementing the long-term IT strategy for the total fairlife business information technology infrastructure, including all systems, processes, applications, controls, and security within a manufacturing organization. This is a key role for fairlife as this position will be part of a team to help fairlife deliver our IT roadmap, which is key to the business achieving its ambitions for growth.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with very strong technical experience in the Microsoft Platform, extensive understanding of networking principles, and manufacturing MES layer interaction. This is a great opportunity for someone who has previously worked on large IT infrastructure rollouts in a manufacturing environment and used their communication skills to deliver technical change with the support of 3rd party vendors.

 

responsibilities:

  • Understand and contribute to overall company strategy
  • Develop and execute on a digital strategy for fairlife that supports the company’s growth including multi-year application roadmap and architecture
  • Further refine the operating model and organization design for lean and agile IT organization to support growth
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect the organization from cybersecurity and data privacy risks
  • Drive operational excellence in IT and deliver value through efficiency while ensuring high availability and response times for all critical systems
  • Provide financial stewardship and leadership on all digital investments including thru effective program/project management governance and operational routines
  • Establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by executive leadership
  • Develop, implement, and monitor a strategic, comprehensive enterprise information security and IT risk management program. Work directly with the business units to facilitate risk assessment and risk management processes
  • Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance
  • Identify and recommend new technologies and services that will improve efficiency, processes, and operations; review requests for additional services and upgrades, assessing the costs and benefits to the organization
  • Oversee the design, selection, acquisition, development, and implementation of major information systems, including their policies and standards, to improve internal and external customer experiences
  • Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency
  • Lead and mentor technical resources
  • Responsible for controlling Information Technology budget

 

skills/qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required
  • 10-15 years of progressive, related experience required within the IT field with proven experience as an IT leader overseeing a staff
  • Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications within manufacturing/CPG environment
  • Strong understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.
  • Natural problem solver with great attention to detail who can also understand the bigger picture and apply that understanding to deliver simple solutions to complex problems
  • Engaging, natural written and verbal communication skills - Experience working with cross-functional teams and third-party suppliers
  • Experience in delivering on-premise infrastructure change and providing infrastructure support
  • Principles of networking – network segregation/vLANs/IP addressing/firewalls
  • Experience of managing virtual infrastructure on VMware 6.0 or higher
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2012 R2 or higher including Active Directory/DNS/DHCP
  • Experience using Microsoft Azure Active Directory and other Microsoft cloud technologies.
  • Experience in ERP and MES infrastructure projects in the Microsoft ecosystem – Dynamics 365 F&O ERP experience preferred
  • Knowledge of MS SQL & databases preferred
  • Experience in adhering to project management principles and managing technology budget
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
