job purpose: The Vice President, Quality will be responsible for leading the development, planning, and execution of strategies and initiatives to support objectives of quality throughout all aspects of fairlife including but not limited to; finished good distribution, information system implementation, data collection and analytics, laboratory and factory testing, capital deployment, and cost savings. This role is ultimately responsible for ensuring finished goods consistently meet all qualitative and quantitative requirements and will be a champion of quality who protects fairlife’s brand and reputation regarding superior taste and consumer delight.

 

responsibilities:

  • Lead development, planning, and execution of strategies and initiatives to support objectives of quality
  • Lead relationship development with internal and external stakeholders ensuring effective communication and alignment on quality strategies, initiatives, and key issues
  • Develop and deploy quality systems roadmap with a vision for implementing world-class processes and systems that are scalable and repeatable across multiple production sites
  • Create and drive a culture of continuous improvement of quality by proactively managing against Key Performance indicators (KPIs) to manage risk and drive improvement
  • Ensure an effective and efficient hold and release program
  • Manage all finished good formulations and document control system
  • Oversee collection and analysis of customer insights to inform continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions in relation to quality issues and deviations
  • Develop processes and systems to support accurate, timely, and cost-effective testing of ingredients, packaging material, and finished goods
  • Oversee Quality System Audits and support corrective actions ensuring compliance with GFSI, FDA and PMO regulations
  • Partner with Engineering, Project Management, and Director or Quality to ensure timely and successful aseptic certification of new lines and plants
  • Pre-approval and monitoring of new suppliers or co-packers and ongoing monitoring of quality performance

 

skills/qualifications required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology, Science, or related field required
  • 10+ years of experience in quality leadership role with an emphasis on consumer-packaged goods, low acid aseptic products, and supply chain management
  • Working knowledge of FDA, PMO and GFSI regulations as they relate to ESL and aseptic beverages preferred
  • Currently certified or actively working to achieve certification in: GFSI (FSSC 22000). HACCP, GMP, PCQI/FSMA, Internal Audit, and Better Process Control School
  • Experience of implementing LIMS, ERP, QA software to drive data collection, compliance and analytics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent team player
  • Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail oriented
  • Confident, assertive and rational using science and data to inform and communicate decision making
  • Ability to take initiative and make decisions autonomously
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Training in internal and external auditing to ISO 9001 preferred
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office Visio

reports to: Chief Supply Chain Officer

travel requirements: 50% annually, including domestic and international
