job purpose:

The Training Manager works within our Human Resources Team supporting training needs for operations and related functions across fairlife. The Training Manager is responsible for collaborating with department managers to identify training needs and mapping out development plans for teams and individuals. This role is responsible for managing, designing, developing, coordinating and conducting all training programs.

responsibilities:

  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Conducts periodic training assignment reviews with area leadership to assist in ensuring trainings are accurate and up to date
  • Develops new training programs, possibly working with a third-party vendor if needed
  • Work with subject matter experts to develop and update existing training content to ensure that it is current, accurate and engaging
  • Demonstrated ability to complete assigned projects within budget and on schedule
  • Maintains continual education support materials to be used for reference once training has been completed
  • Responsible for onboarding program for new hires in Coopersville and creating consistency across fairlife teams
  • Ensures completion of onboarding paperwork and assessments
  • Assists in the maintenance of employee training files
  • Aids in training audits of various HR/Safety/Food Safety programs
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Willingness to travel

skills/qualifications required:

  • BS degree in Education or related discipline preferred
  • 3 to 5 years in training and development preferred
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment

food safety requirements:

  • Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required that may affect product quality or food safety.
  • Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas.
  • Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.
  • Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.
  • Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
  • In the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume the duties and responsibilities as required.
