job purpose: The Sr. Supply Planning Manager is a key leader of the Supply Chain team. This role is directly responsible for leading the supply planning, production scheduling, distribution planning and customer service teams in all our facilities. This role will work cross functionally with key members of the operations, warehouse, transportation, finance and commercial teams. This role will drive value by ensuring the planning team develops an efficient and optimal production schedule/plan built to ensure target customer service levels are met and exceeded.

 

responsibilities:

  • Oversee the supply planning, production planning and distribution planning teams, including customer service across all bottle production sites
  • Responsible for creating production plan with planning team, including signing off on weekly and monthly production plans to ensure regional balance across plants
  • Own supply vs demand balancing processes, including execution of allocation processes when needed
  • Responsible for reporting for customer service metrics through all routes to market to all key stakeholders
  • Act as voice of supply planning in discussion with commercial teams around new product launches, promotions, etc.
  • Direct responsibility for reducing costs and increase efficiency and productivity by delivering an efficient and optimal production schedule, taking into consideration key inputs such as capability, demand, inventory levels, and material lead times
  • Coordinate and lead weekly alignment meetings between the planning team, transportation, warehousing, operations, and customer service.
  • Drive continual improvements of current tools, processes, and reporting, including owning and developing new tools to drive fairlife’s extraordinary growth.
  • Refine information systems configurations/settings to drive a more integrated supply planning and material resource management system
  • Proactive management and cross functional communication of quality concerns impacting production schedule
  • Continuous monitoring and proactive management of finished goods inventory levels to ensure a balanced level and efficient storage utilization
  • Work with planning team members to ensure plans are in sync across all plants – act as backup in key areas for team members as required
  • Demonstrate value through leadership, detailed and innovative approach along with proactive communications

Demonstrate critical thinking and sound judgment in all situations

 

skills/qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience required
  • Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities
  • Experience leading supply chain planning teams across multiple locations
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Access) skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Programming (SQL/Python) and Data Visualization (PowerBI) strongly preferred
  • Network Design experience preferred but not required
  • Dynamics 365 experience preferred but not required
