job purpose: The fairlife team has recently implemented Microsoft Dynamics Finance & Operations and are looking for an experienced Software Developer & DevOps role (reporting to Senior Director, IT) to build custom D365 enhancements, develop integrated PowerApps in addition to platform maintenance, deployments, and life cycle services.  The ideal candidate will have the necessary Microsoft software development skills and experience to build robust solutions and manage disciplined life cycle and DevOps processes.

 

responsibilities:

  • Develop software enhancements and applications within the Microsoft software eco-system, primarily focused on Dynamics D365 F&O ERP, PowerApps, and Power BI Platforms.
    • Work with stakeholders to define Business requirement documents
    • Develop software solutions that meet requirements
    • Execute in an Agile development framework
    • Architect software solutions for sustainability, security, and performance
  • Enhance and develop existing PowerBI platform and business intelligence reporting
    • Develop reporting capabilities that support critical business processes
    • Research and improve database / dataverse capabilities, architecture, and features to support a high performance, timely, and accurate business insights platform
  • Support software development governance processes utilizing Azure DevOps toolkit including:
    • Managing dev backlog (DevOps, Jira)
    • Branching/Merging/Promotion policies and procedures (TFVC, GIT)
    • Build and release pipelines and environment deployments
    • Documenting and communicating Release Notes
    • Setup and administration of automated regression test plans
    • Following best design practices to ensure stability and performance
  • Assist technical and functional teams to design and build requirements and solutions
  • Create necessary documentation supporting system architecture, design, and configuration
  • Assist with the administration of related ERP or IT platforms
  • Other tasks as needed to support secure, high performance, and high availability platforms and IT services

 

skills/qualifications required:

  • BS in CS / MIS / Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4+ years software development experience (.NET, C#, X++, PowerApps, Visual Studio preferred)
  • 3+ years experience in working with relational databases and reporting tools (T-SQL, Data Lake, PowerBI)
  • 2+ years DevOps related experience managing software deployments in a multi-stage environment
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and processes in a manufacturing environment (Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O preferred)
  • Experience administering and/or configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O preferred
  • Test Automation experience a plus
  • Highly disciplined and process driven
  • CPG manufacturing or Supply Chain industry a plus
