job purpose:

 

Monitor and audit all incoming shipments from suppliers and 3rd party outside warehousing. Audits include verification of incoming material for accuracy and condition, FIFO, and condition. Completion of necessary receiving paperwork in a clear concise manner. Receive items into Netsuite and DSI accurately. Effectively and accurately complete cycle counts on packaging and ingredients. Communicate any supplier issues directly to the supplier and any 3rd party issues to the Warehouse Manager.

 

responsibilities:

  • Audit incoming materials from suppliers for accuracy and condition. This includes documenting any and all discrepancies.
  • Responsible for trailer inspection sheet audits, manifest and BOL audits.
  • Responsible for verification of GMP practices when handling any and all of Fairlife materials and finished goods.
  • Verification of label ingredients and specifications as dictated in ETQ.
  •  Notify Plant Management of any non conformance issues.
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks when needed.
  • Assist in trailer inspections ensuring that trailers comply with all cleanliness and condition requirements.
  • Audit receipts of incoming material against the physical material as well as the packing slips, including running the daily receipt report to verify data entry for previous day.
  • Highly efficient at compiling records, making reports and drawing conclusions.
  • Extensive knowledge of inventory management and inventory management software.
  • Data entry into Netsuite and DSI accurately.
  • Order necessary raw materials from 3rd party warehousing.
  • Maintain production WIP lines and verify needed quantities for production runs.
  • Assist in material and finished good manual cycle counts.
  • Work closely with 3rd party warehouse leadership team.
  • Identify damaged items. Responsible for assisting in quarantining any damaged material.
  • Follow all safety and working rules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

  • Must have the ability to trouble shoot problems and be persistent until a highly repairable solution is found.
  • Must have knowledge of RF scanning equipment.
  • Must have knowledge of inventory systems.
  • Must possess a forklift license issued by Fairlife.
  • Must work in a safe manner and follow all safety procedures including use of safety equipment.
  • Must be willing to ask for assistance when the process is unclear.
  • Treat everyone with respect and fairness.
  • Ability to work with teams successfully towards common goals.

 

 

 

High School diploma. Two years of experience in warehousing and inventory preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience are required.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good math and statistical skills.
  • Must be able to operate equipment efficiently.
  • Ability to work different shift including off shifts.

 

working conditions and physical requirements:

Sitting/Standing/Walking: The operator stands throughout their shift. The operator walks on uneven concrete and tiles surfaces.

Lifting/Carrying: The operator lifts up to 60 pounds on a frequent basis and 80 pounds on an occasional basis. Two or more employees complete lifts of greater than 80 pounds.

Pushing/Pulling: Some pushing or pulling could be involved in assisting operators make hook ups of piping or equipment.

Bending/Stooping: The operator stoops throughout the workday, for varying lengths of time. The operator may have to bend and stoop when servicing product pumps and during clean up duties and when picking up items off of the floor.

Squatting/Kneeling/Crawling: The operator may assume any combination of these positions during cleanup duties, including kneeling on the floor and crawling under equipment. The operator may squat to use legs for leverage when using a large wrench to open product presses.

Twisting/Turning: The operator may assume any combination of these positions during cleanup duties. The operator may be required to work in tight places.

Climbing/Balancing The operator is involved in the loading out of condensed skim milk, requiring climbing a flight of stairs to the top of the tankers and balancing on the tanker while making the necessary hook ups and opening of the dome covers. The operator is involved in the inspection of processing equipment, which could involve climbing 100 steps to the top of the dryers or evaporators.

Reaching: The operator reaches at or above shoulder level at various times during the shift when making adjustments on the control panel or making pipe fitting connections or washing milk silos. The operator may have to reach during clean up assignments or to climb vertical ladder.

Grasping/Manipulating: Frequent use of the hand and fingers is required.

  • Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.
  • In the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume the duties and responsibilities as required.
