job purpose:  The National Accounts Manager will be responsible for growth, retention, and strategic planning for key customers within the foodservice and on-premise channel, across all routes of distribution (warehouse, DSD, etc.). The NAM will also lead the improvement of overall brand strength across the full fairlife portfolio of brands through availability gains, brand awareness, and increased velocity within the FSOP channel. In addition, this position is responsible for the sell-in of key programming and internal communication, account maintenance and relationship building, and budget management, forecasting and planning. This individual is also responsible for meeting strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization.

responsibilities:

  • Accountable for ongoing relationships with Coke NAEs and buyers for key customers within the foodservice and on-premise channel to drive fairlife business
  • Develop and sell in sales plans, programming, and full year calendars for each assigned account within territory
  • Ensure timely and appropriate communication of confirmed programming to fairlife and Coke Sales Ops teams to maximize execution
  • Evaluate current and past programming for effectiveness and ROI to determine future needs and plans
  • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion within assigned accounts (adding SKUs, new platforms), and take lead on sales approach and execution to new buyers
  • Ensure time sensitive deadlines are met within assigned accounts, including submission of plans for sell-in windows
  • Manage frequency and aggressiveness of customer programs within assigned accounts to maintain brand health and growth, while remaining within budget constraints
  • Process billbacks and payment requests from customers in a timely manner
  • Keep accurate record of money spent on each assigned account versus full year budget, reassigning excess money, and cutting programming to account for overspending

  • CCNA NRS and MMBU teams, CCNA NAEs, fairlife sales team, fairlife commercial team

 

skills/qualifications required:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ CPG sales experience required, with a focus on food or beverage products preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in Key Account sales required
  • DSD beverage and/or dairy experience preferred
  • Proven ability to manage a growing portfolio of brands within a given budget to achieve business goals
  • Ability to leverage data and insights to tell a compelling story and drive business plan objects
  • Strong business acumen ability
  • Proactive attitude with entrepreneurial skill set, who thrives in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver creative solutions that meet business objectives in response to inevitable market challenges
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

 

position location: Home Office within designated territory (Atlanta or Chicago preferred, open to cities near major airports)

reports to: Vice President, National Accounts

travel requirements: 50-75%
