job purpose: The Information Systems Selection and Implementation Consultant/Project Manager will be responsible for the successful selection and implementation of a full ERP manufacturing system for five plants and multiple business units. This role will develop the project plan and manage tasks/timeline of functional workstream leads while also managing conflicting priorities. This individual must work collaboratively to resource the project plan to deliver specified goals on assigned tasks and timelines while holding leads accountable, along with monitoring and reporting on its overall status. They will also guide functional workstream leads in the use of the PMO methodology, best practices, and tools to ensure success.

 

responsibilities:

  • Lead the vendor selection and management process from scope to execution of a full ERP/MES implementation. Plan and lead business process mapping and requirements gathering sessions to determine system configuration and business requirements
  • Plan the structure of systems with user requirement and cost benefit considerations
  • Liaise with vendors on contract details, operational issues, deliverables, and vendor quality control. Manage vendor administration (SOW, contract review and execution, invoice approval, etc.)
  • With the help of the team and vendor, prepare a detailed project plan to meet project goals. Manage the execution of project plan from scope to execution
  • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs
  • Manage project communication platform and project documentation. Measure project performance and identify corrective actions
  • Ensure stakeholder involvement and support. Direct change management initiatives in preparation for system execution, including communication and documentation
  • Facilitate work sessions with workstream leads and stakeholders to ensure there is clear delegation of responsibility to execute the project plan
  • Develop and manage schedules, including testing, launch support, and business readiness
  • Analyze, design, plan, and implement systems using a comprehensive strategic approach

 

skills/qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Project management certification (PMP, PMI, or equivalent) required
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role in accounting, supply chain, manufacturing technology, or related field with experience in the review, selection, and implementation of an ERP/MRP/MES project
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience overseeing large scale projects and a team of diverse workstream leads
  • Demonstrated advanced program management skills in complex business environments, including the ability to coordinate teams in various locations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to provide a clear vision, goals, and strategy for each system/module implementation
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, influencing, and team-building skills with the ability to reach consensus around decisions and manage conflict
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, issue analysis and resolution skills
  • Ability to gather and address business and technical requirements
  • Knowledge and/or experience in the dairy industry highly desired
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
