job purpose: The HR Manager will serve as a business partner to corporate functions including Sales, Marketing, R&D, Finance, and HR (approximately 100 people). This position is responsible for implementing, supporting, and liaising HR programs, processes and information.  In addition, this position will assist and support company-wide HR programs and projects.

 

responsibilities:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of our company's strategy, business operations, culture and competition and apply knowledge to HR processes and approach
  • Function as a coach and trusted business advisor to influence business leaders in areas of employee relations, talent management, retention, performance management, rewards and recognition, change management, and the potential impact of short and long-term decisions and strategies
  • Support and facilitate management through all aspects of organizational change including design, position requirements, talent impact, skill gaps, and communication strategies to manage the change
  • Partner with Recruitment on talent acquisition / talent management efforts and initiatives
  • Facilitate and lead client groups in performance and talent processes such as employee retention efforts, performance calibration, merit and bonus process, career development and progression, succession planning and performance check-ins
  • Ensure the consistent application of (and compliance with) HR and company policies, processes and systems
  • Responsible for employee relations, day-to-day matters, and investigations
  • Gather and use data to drive business decisions and initiatives

 

skills/qualifications required:

  • Master’s Degree in HR required
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of analytics, with the ability to create compelling business cases
  • Proven success working cross-functionally with an emphasis in coaching and performance management
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills required
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
