job purpose: The FP&A Manager – Supply Chain is a member of the Financial, Planning and Analysis Team and reports to the FP&A Director- Supply Chain.  This role will partner with leaders across the supply chain team to provide analytics, modeling, and insights to drive world class performance across manufacturing, supply chain and procurement.  

 

responsibilities:

planning and forecasting

  • Manage routines such as financial planning cycles, budgets, financial forecasts, and margin initiatives.
  • Focus the teams on key financial risks and opportunities in a high growth environment to mitigate risks and harvest opportunities
  • Standard cost management
  • Manage many initiatives and stakeholders in a very fast paced and fluid environment

reporting and storytelling

  • Manage financial dashboards to facilitate the identification of operational and strategic adjustments and improvements
  • Provide transparency and insights for all the financial results for the manufacturing facilities, costs of goods sold, and key working capital drivers through trend, variance, and ratio analyses
  • Manage and evolve all communication vehicles to provide all stakeholders the storylines & information when needed to make key business decisions and drive business behaviors

decision support, modeling, and business improvement

  • Understand the operations functions by spending time at the facilities and with those responsible for the day-to-day business processes and systems
  • Manage and evolve financial modeling to analyze the financial impact of operational performance and strategies
  • Drive margin improvement by working with the operations teams to optimize resource use, improve productivity, lower costs relative to revenue drivers and focus the company on maximizing efficiency in multi-site environment
  • Perform data validation to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of underlying data and analytic models

 

skills/qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and a strong understanding of manufacturing accounting principles
  • 5+ years of progressive finance experience with emphasis on strategic analysis and analytical modeling, and operational reporting
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication
  • Experience with manufacturing environments (dairy experience is a plus)
  • Strong presentation and “storytelling” skills
  • Highly organized
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a team-oriented environment while also being able to work and think independently
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills required
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
