job purpose: The eCommerce Business Development Manager will be part of a newly created eCommerce team at fairlife and will be critical to driving our digital evolution. This role will be responsible for advancing the distribution and driving strategic growth for Pure Play retailers including Amazon and digital food/grocery intermediaries.  Key responsibilities include strategic business planning, marketplace execution and customer relationship management. You will work across fairlife and Coca-Cola teams to expand our digital footprint maximizing the performance of the company’s digital account portfolio and helping to achieve ambitious sales targets. A successful candidate combines eCommerce account management expertise with an interest in beverage/CPG industry along with a passion for meeting the changing needs of consumers and delivering value to our customers/partners.

 

responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong eCommerce customer relationships, driving growth and engagement  
  • Prepare and present to eCommerce customers across a range of topics including joint business plans, partnership exploration, business reviews and programming ideas
  • Sell, negotiate and execute customer plans to achieve fairlife business objectives and deliver financial targets (sales and market share)
  • Execute different selling models (1P/3P) that drives growth and margin optimization
  • Monitor inventory, working closely with operations on forecasting and shipments
  • Utilize sales and marketing reporting with data-driven insights to identify opportunities to drive business growth
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders (fairlife brand marketing, sales, commercial and Coca-Cola North America digital team) to achieve financial goals for fairlife and our customers
  • Understand the competitive landscape and make recommendations on how we can optimize and grow market share across eCommerce customers through assortment, pricing, promotions
  • Help to build eCommerce competencies and capabilities across the fairlife organization and serve as a champion for this channel

 

skills/qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
  • 5+ years of eCommerce sales/account management experience.  Amazon account management experience strongly preferred. Consumer product sales a plus
  • Experience with the development of a strategic business plan, annual operating plan tools and execution tactics
  • Strong understanding of digital platforms and eCommerce technology/applications
  • Strong analytic skills, comfortable generating and reading reports to interpret results and identify issues, opportunities, and trends
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple areas of the eCommerce business with versatility and flexibility
  • Highly motivated, a self-starter and curious, demonstrating an aptitude for problem solving and ability to quickly learn and add value 
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across several groups in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Superb communication skills, including strong oral and presentation skills with the ability to communicate and interact at all levels
  • Strong influencing skills
  • High proficiency with all Microsoft Office programs
