job purpose The Digital Merchandising Manager will be part of a newly created eCommerce team at fairlife and will be critical to driving our digital evolution. This role will be responsible for developing and growing strategic accounts within the ecommerce channel, including both pure-play and omnichannel ecommerce business by closely collaborating with internal and external cross-functional partners to grow fairlife’s digital sales (via pure-play and omni-channel retailers as well as digital intermediaries). Key responsibilities include building a best-in-class digital shelf, developing promotional/advertising/merchandising strategies, operations, agency management and search optimization. You will plan and execute all tactics aimed at maximizing the performance of the company’s digital account portfolio and achieving ambitious sales targets. A successful candidate combines an understanding of what drives eCommerce sales with an interest in beverage/CPG industry along with a passion for meeting the changing needs of consumers and delivering value to our customers/partners.

 

responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor performance of fairlife’s digital shelf across customer’s selling platforms, optimizing all aspects of digital assets and product information in a consumer relevant way to drive conversion with our brands
  • Monitor and analyze our portfolio and competitors search & merchandising strategy, utilize search engine optimization tactics (SEO) and paid advertising to drive increased share of voice on retailers’ listing pages
  • Collaborate with fairlife brand team, agency partners, and internal partners to build & optimize digital advertising/search plans & budget, ensuring campaign results and insights are communicated to the organization with recommendations to improve performance
  • Use available data and insights to support the customer teams in building digital merchandising strategy and plans in collaboration with key retailers to drive awareness of our brands & products, improve portfolio visibility and conversion
  • Co-own content planning, execution and optimization with brand marketing team and internal digital capabilities partners (for item, brand and category content)
  • Ensure all new products, transitioning items, and discontinued products are live and updated on retailers' websites at the respective launch/discontinuation dates
  • Define and continuously measure KPIs to assess retailer digital merchandising strategies and execution capabilities establishing industry benchmarks and performance targets
  • Build test and learn plans for content, merchandising, promotion and advertising strategies to improve the consumer’s digital experience ultimately driving sales for fairlife and value for our customers
  • Maintain an active awareness on industry trends as well as search best practices, anticipating new trends and winning tactics. Serve as eCommerce subject matter expert, helping to support and educate the broader organization about digital merchandising and eCommerce
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate digital merchandising into their overall strategies and plans helping to define and execute improvement strategies, projects, and tests

key relationships and partnerships: fairlife marketing, commercial, sales, Coca-Cola North America (CCNA) eCommerce team

skills/qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years’ experience in eCommerce (site merchandising, content management, digital marketing, SEO, A/B Testing & Optimization), CPG experience a plus
  • Experience in managing brand portfolios of products online, familiarity with selling products on Amazon preferred
  • Subject matter expertise in eCommerce technology/applications, demonstrated ability to learn technical tools and software necessary to maintain and optimize websites including content service providers  
  • Experience with web analytics tools (Adobe/Omniture/Google Analytics)
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple areas of the eCommerce business with versatility and flexibility
  • Highly motivated, a self-starter, and curious, demonstrating an aptitude for problem solving and ability to quickly learn and add value
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across several groups in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Superb communication skills, including strong oral and presentation skills with the ability to communicate and interact at all levels. 
  • Strong influencing skills
  • High proficiency with all Microsoft Office programs
