job purpose: The Content & Design Specialist plays an important role in creating compelling and visually appealing content across mediums. The role is responsible for developing marketing assets, presentation materials, newsletters and attention-grabbing communications.

 

responsibilities:

  • Provides in-house graphic design and development of marketing content, including but not limited to in-store creative, social media content, press kits, website design, and digital campaigns.
  • Create compelling internal communications tools, including newsletter and email templates.
  • Develops copy for website, blog posts and social media campaigns.
  • Coordinates and manages photo and video shoots.
  • Contributes to creative strategy by brainstorming content ideas that grow awareness, increase engagement and drive trial
  • Manages projects from conceptualization to production, including consulting with leadership to determine scope of project, developing sample layouts for approval, presenting samples for approval, and preparing final layout for production.
  • Edits and manipulates digital photographs for use in digital and print formats.
  • Creates and amends designs and layouts for approval and suggests improvements where needed.
  • Assists in updating website and creation of assets and/or pages for website.
  • Assists in the creation of company presentations using PowerPoint.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of a variety of creative formats and platforms, remain up to date on industry innovations, equipment, new techniques, and platforms.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

skills/qualifications required:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in a creative content development capacity or graphic design position required
  • Expert level proficiency in MS Office (specifically PowerPoint) and in design and illustration software required.
  • Fluent in Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver/HTML, and InDesign. Other UI/UX tools experience preferred
  • Proven expertise in creating marketing/print/digital marketing and graphic design solutions
  • Strong graphic design skills and proficiency with CS5
  • Ideally would have and understanding and experience of editing digital photos and videos with experience in photo art direction both on set and off
  • Strong project management, self-starting, organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
