job purpose: Assists in compliance quality, ensuring common areas are cleaned and sanitized. Keeping common areas well stocked and maintained.

responsibilities:

• Clean interior of building including windows and high traffic areas.
• Disinfect commonly used items like door handles and office tools.
• Maintaining cleaning inventory, ensuring orders are placed when products are low.
• Ensuring common areas such as but not limited to break room, restrooms, and PPE stations stay clean and sanitized.
• Service, clean and supply restrooms.
• Restocking break room with cups, napkins, utensils, and soda machine stocked.
• Empty trash and recycling bins.
• Clean drains on the production floor.
• Foam, scrub and clean silos, equipment and floors.
• Fill out all required documentation (Master Sanitation, General Sanitation, Darin Sanitation)
• Other duties required by supervisor.

skills/qualifications required:

• Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
• Accuracy and detail focused.
• Ability to work independently with professional demeanor.
• Self-starter and self-motivated with the ability to complete work assignments based on broad directions with minimum of supervision.
• Prior custodian experience preferred.

working conditions and physical requirements:

• Lifts where necessary
• 8 hours sitting/standing/walking
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Reaching/bending often
• Exposure to hazards (machinery, confined spaces, chemicals, etc.)

food safety requirements:

• Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required that may affect product quality or food safety.

• Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas.
• Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.
• Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
• Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.
• Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
• In the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume the duties and responsibilities as required.
