job purpose: The Associate Procurement Manager is a member of the Supply Chain team. This role is directly responsible for supporting all aspects of developing and implementing sourcing strategies for procurement that align with fairlife’s strategic objectives across Ingredients, Packaging, Indirect, & Dairy sourcing. This role delivers value by ensuring fairlife sources the highest quality, most cost-effective materials from a reliable, high performing supply base.  

 

responsibilities:

  • Supports activities related to sourcing for Ingredients, Packaging, Indirect, & Dairy
  • Manage the development and execution of Procurement strategies for categories under control
  • Assist and implement raw material cost reduction opportunities
  • Maintain data integrity between plants and assist in new item on boarding
  • Track supplier performance and communicate supplier performance feedback
  • Identify supply risks in Ingredient categories and develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with Planning Team on inventory flow & order optimization opportunities
  • Facilitate trials for Ingredient & Pack R&D teams in partnership with Procurement Manager
  • Assist in the development and management of annual material cost budgets
  • Analyze and forecast material cost trends and work to address any pricing variances to budget
  • Resolve any unforeseen problems with suppliers relating to operations, purchasing or quality/performance
  • Daily collaboration with cross-functional project teams, acting as a support function for any project needs related to purchasing

 

skills/qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferably in Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance or Engineering)
  • 2+ years of Procurement Category Management experience or equivalent preferred
  • Strong project management background desired with experience in CPG environment
  • Strong business acumen and ability to effectively manage internal and external relationships
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills at all levels, and ability to drive results to others
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
